Harper College sophomore catcher Jordan Dallmann (Roselle, Ill. /Lake Park) was recently named Second Team All-Conference for her play during the spring 2016 softball season, as voted upon by the North Central Community College (N4C) coaches.
Dallmann started all 27 games for the Hawks and led the team in almost every offensive category. The right-handed hitter paced Harper in batting average (.406) on-base percentage (.488), home runs (2), RBIs (19), hits (28), runs (22), walks (11), total bases (52), and slugging percentage (.754). Additionally, she slugged a team-high seven triples, and tied 4th in the nation for the triples category.
She was also the Hawks’ best player defensively as she primarily played catcher. Dallmann recorded 76 putouts, 19 assists, and only four errors for a .960 fielding percentage (first on team).
“Jordan was our leader on and off the field. She took the role and was successful, and other teams took notice of her ability,” said Harper head softball coach Scott Plaza. “That’s just a testament to the kind of player and person she is.”
